The free delivery, free assembly, and free takeaway (removal of old furniture) services from The Furniture Centre are generally bundled together and work as follows:

The services apply primarily to customers whose delivery address is within a 100km radius of The Furniture Centre Cork store.

Here is how each service works within that 100km zone:

1. Free Delivery (within 100km)

• Cost: It is completely free with no minimum order value required.³

• Service: The delivery team will typically bring the new furniture to the room of your choice, provided it is accessible.

• Scheduling: You will be contacted to schedule a specific delivery date and time window (typically Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6 PM).⁴

   

2. Free Assembly (within 100km)

• Cost: This service is provided at no extra charge.

• Scope: It applies to most larger items, such as beds, wardrobes, dining tables, and sofas (where assembly is required).

• Process: A trained team will assemble the furniture in the designated room immediately after delivery.⁷ They will also remove all the packaging materials from the new furniture.

3. Free Takeaway (Removal of Old Furniture) (within 100km)

• Cost: This service is also free.

• Scope: The delivery team will take away your old, similar piece of furniture (e.g., your old sofa when delivering a new one, or your old mattress/bed).⁹

• Process: You must inform the store that you want to use this service when you place your order.¹⁰

Outside the 100km Zone:

For addresses outside the 100km radius, or throughout Ireland, the free service terms do not apply.¹¹ You will generally incur delivery charges, and the assembly and takeaway services may not be included. Some sources indicate an extra charge of €70.00 for delivery throughout Ireland outside of the Munster region.
