Old Item Removal Guidelines

Mattresses/Beds stripped, dry, and ready for pickup.

To help us make collection quick and easy, please have your old furniture ready before our delivery team arrives.

  • Like-for-like removal: We can take away a similar old item when delivering your new furniture.

  • Book in advance: Please let us know when placing your order if you require old furniture removal.

  • Mattresses & beds: These should be stripped of all bedding, dry, and ready for collection.

  • Easy access: Please make sure the item is accessible and ready for our delivery team to remove.

  • Packaging: We’ll also remove the packaging from your newly delivered furniture.

Free old-item removal is available within 100km of our Blackpool, Cork store.

Access & Preparation Checklist

Ensure doorways/hallways are measured before delivery day.

Please prepare your home before delivery to help our team complete the service safely and efficiently.

  • Measure access points: Check doorways, hallways, staircases, and lifts to make sure your new furniture will fit.

  • Clear the route: Remove rugs, decorations, small furniture, and other obstacles from the delivery path.

  • Prepare the room: Make sure there is enough clear space for delivery and assembly.

  • Check stairways: Ensure stairs and landings provide enough space for larger items.

  • Protect fragile items: Move mirrors, artwork, lamps, and other breakable items away from the delivery route.

  • Old furniture: If removal has been arranged, have the old item cleared, dry, and ready for collection.
