Free Delivery:
Geographic Area: This usually applies to customers within a specific radius of the Cork store or a general “Cork City and County” area. This delivery zone is about 100k. Addresses outside the zone incur delivery charges etc. and may not include assembly
Minimum Spend: To qualify for free delivery. Just make an order their is no minimum order value, within 100km radious
Delivery Scheduling: You’ll likely be contacted to schedule a delivery date and time window ( Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 6 PM). Be prepared to provide your contact information and ensure someone can receive the delivery during the agreed-upon time.
Delivery Location: The delivery team will typically bring the furniture to the agreed-upon room of your choice, as long as it’s accessible. They may have limitations on upper floors without elevator access or extremely difficult-to-reach locations. It’s wise to clarify this beforehand if so please email or call the store. Free Assembly:
Eligible Items: Not all furniture might be eligible for free assembly however there are no limitations usually. It applies to larger items like beds, wardrobes, dining tables, sofas (if requiring leg attachment), etc. Smaller items like bedside tables, chairs, or fully assembled units might not be included in rare cases.
Professional Assembly: This means a trained team will unpack your furniture and assemble it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Timing: Assembly usually happens immediately after delivery. Confirm this when scheduling. If assembly at the time of delivery is not possible, they might schedule a separate assembly appointment. If so please let us know!
- We also will environmentally dispose of any furniture if you get a delivery from us but it must be a like for like, the old piece of furniture or one you’re disposing of for the new one!
Typical Steps and Considerations:
Purchase: You buy furniture from The Furniture Centre’s Cork location (either in-store or online).
Eligibility Check: The system (or a staff member) checks if your order qualifies for free delivery and assembly based on:
Delivery address within the free zone. Or cost if outside this zone.
Order value meeting the minimum spend (if applicable).
Eligible furniture items.
Scheduling:
Contact: Someone from The Furniture Centre (or their delivery partner) will contact you to schedule the delivery.
Availability: You provide your preferred delivery date and time.
Confirmation: They confirm the delivery and assembly appointment with you.
Pre-Delivery Communication:
Reminder: You may receive a reminder call or text a day or two before the scheduled delivery.
Delivery and Assembly:
Arrival: The delivery team arrives within the agreed-upon time window.
Inspection: You (or a designated person) might be asked to briefly inspect the delivered items for any visible damage before assembly begins. Note any issues immediately.
Assembly: The team assembles the furniture in the designated room.
Quality Check: After assembly, take a look to ensure everything is properly assembled and functioning correctly.
Packaging Removal: The team removes all packaging materials.
Potential Issues:
Damage: If you notice any damage during or after assembly, please let us know immediately. Take photos as evidence and send them to us by email.
Missing Parts: If parts are missing, contact The Furniture Centre right away to arrange for replacement parts.
Assembly Issues: If you’re not satisfied with the assembly, address it with the team before they leave or contact The Furniture Centre’s customer service.
